The gently augmented reality of Circular Quay

Last time I paid attention to brass metadata was back in St. Laurent, but I really do have a soft spot for things like these.

These ones show how far inland the shoreline of Circular Quay used to be.

It’s another nudge to remind me how limited a metaphorical palate I use. We talk of ‘tagging’ images and music, when we could be talking about ‘bolting a plaque to it’.

Imagine how much more permanent the web might feel if that’s how we spoke of it.
